Made by grinding corn into meal

Apart from myriad Italian dishes and desserts, polenta also delivers American grits, a crispy coating for roast potatoes, fish or chicken, a gluten-free alternative to flour, notably in cornbread; and gives a gorgeous golden colour and crumbly consistency to cakes. Use as a mash substitute, in place of breadcrumbs in stuffing or that pinnacle of polenta perfection … deep fried as chips. Ohhhh yes!

Storage & Shelf-Life

Keep in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Store in an airtight container and consumer within 6 months

Instructions:

Bring 1 litre water to boil. Add 250g of polenta and allow to simmer for 10 minutes whilst stirring. Pour mixture into a greased dish and allow to cool. Cut into slices, fry or grill and serve.
