Storage & Shelf-Life

In an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Best enjoyed within 1 - 2 years of purchase ? any longer and they?ll need longer pre-soaking. Once cooked, label and freeze for up to a month or keep covered in the fridge for up to 3 days

Cooking Time

For speedy results, tip your chickpeas into a saucepan and cover with plenty of cold water. Adding 1tsp of bicarbonate of soda per 500g peas can help the soaking process and soften the skins for a silkier hummus. Bring to the boil for 1 minute, turn off the heat and leave to soak for 1 hour. Drain, return to the pan with twice the volume of water to chickpeas and bring to the boil again. Turn down the heat and simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until tender.
