They are high in protein, but rich and creamy, making them great in salads, chillis, soups, in filled wraps, blended to a refried bean paste for nachos, enchiladas, burritos or quesadillas; or on mollettes – a Mexican versions of beans on toast, with melted cheese and a side salsa.

Storage & Shelf-Life

In an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Best enjoyed within one year of purchase. Once cooked, label and freeze for up to 6 months or keep covered in the fridge for 3-5 days

Soak for 12 hours, or overnight in 4: 1 proportions of water and beans, drain and bring to the boil in a saucepan with fresh water (3: 1 of water to beans). Simmer for 1 – 1.5 hours, or until soft
